this is super cute, I will defiantly be making this. One question though, when printed on normal printer paper how much fabric does this need?

How big does it turn out on a standard printer paper?

Made one out of cotton fabrics and filled the body with flax seed to make a warm, cuddly buddy for cold nights. <3 her.

Hey !
I'd like to sew a pony (a cute Fluttershy) from your pattern for a friend's birthday :)

Could you tell me how big is the pony if I print the pattern at scale ?
Thanks :)

hm, i think if i tweak the design a little i'd be able to make creatures other then ponies with this pattern..
that is if you allow people to play with your patterns

Of course, that's the best way to learn! It's a pretty basic shape and the head pieces are mirrored so it would be easy to alter it.

I tried out the pattern: nyankoyuki.deviantart.com/art/…

When laying out the pieces to cut for this pattern, should I follow the arrows for the stretch? It's head was a little misshapen on the top...

The arrows are for pile direction if you're using fur, minky, velboa or something like that. I didn't include stretch direction, but they'd go like this:

Face - from forehead to corner of the jaw (E)
Head - from center seam to outer edge
Belly - from left side to right side
Body - from spine to belly
Leg - left side to right side

Thank you! That helps me a lot. I already cut out the pieces for another beanie. I think I had the right idea except for the face, but it should be okay. :)

Sure! I have a flatscreen monitor and I usually trace patterns right off it to save printer ink.
