Jellybean prize pony plushies by Voodoo-Tiki Jellybean prize pony plushies by Voodoo-Tiki
Two of the plushies that are destined to be prizes in the :iconmy-little-plushie: contest.

They're made with my beginner pattern, which I'll be posting soon. No complicated darts, inset hoofs or center head gusset. They also go together really fast and make for cute, simple little ponies. These are made from fleece, with faux fur manes & tails and painted butt tattoos.

The yellow one is Bubbles: [link]

The purple one (who's still awaiting a tail) is Blossom: [link]

The third one was gonna be Buttercup, but she's also solid purple, so I'll probably do French Cotton Candy instead: [link]

There's another view up at my tumblr: [link]

The hair reminds me of those troll dolls. Lol, very cool stuff; keep up the excellent work!

Just curious, how do you do the hair?
I've looked around for this material and haven't been able to find it..

It's a long pile faux fur - I order cuts from Ever After fabrics on etsy.

That's so cool! I want to make a plushie too. But I'd like to know what you used to make the mane and the tail on these two?

Aww, they are so adorable. I like working with felt, I will try out your pattern soon on my own little Pony Plush ♥
Thanks You for sharing.
The manes are so fluffy, what you use to make them? Do you think I can work with Needle Felt Wool?

I use a long pile fur fabric for the manes, but you could probably use needle felt wool.

The faux fur? The purple and teal are I got from Ever After Fabric on Etsy, it's Mongolian Shag (that I brushed out and striaghtened), and the I think I got the pink sparkle shag there, too.

Those are awsome. Im tempted to buy a sewing machine just to try them out. Would they be difficult for a beginner to make?

Actually, you don't need a machine - I do all my sewing by hand.

Also, these should be very easy to make, I've made the pattern as simple as possible.

These ones are about 4 and a half inches tall. But I can't find my measureing tape so I'm not exactly certain.

Oh my O_O Oh my, oh my... They are just so cute!

This might actually tip me over the edge and make me try creating things. I've been saying that for ages now, but the hhhnnnnggg is just getting too much to bare. Just have to wait till after the next con, so I actually have some money to buy supplies and time to learn.

Sorry if you've been asked this a million times: but how long have you been creating plushes or similar items? I haven't touched a sewing machine in years and the most I've done with needle and thread in the last year is repair my own pants. ;)
