This poor little thing is a plushie I made to test the sitting pattern. As you can see, a lot of things went wrong. For example, the picture on the upper left is how he "sits" - the hind legs weren't positioned correctly. And that white patch on the back of his head is because the back part of the head pattern wasn't wide enough, that was required to close the gap. He also ended up with a hunched back.
Sometimes I look at him and think about fixing him up, because the face is kind of cute and it feels a little mean to leave him all messed-up and incomplete. I'm the sort of person who, if you give me a litter of kittens to pick from, I'll pick the runt with one eye, a missing tail, its leg in a cast and wobbling around in circles because the weird ones need the most love.
I think hes cute, in his own special way. I got a few ponies like this sitting around my house atm as i've been trying to make my own pattern for stuffs. But my kids make them feel loved so i don't feel so bad. lol
Sometimes things happen. I get a similar feeling when I smell burnt silicon or things suddenly stop working. But at least it’s just a matter of rewiring something and replacing a broken part. Plushie development seems like an exception.
I know exactly how you feel here Just wasted material on a pattern that REALLY didnt work. This little guy is adorable , just alter the head angle slightly ( looking at the upper right picture) and it might work better ?
I think if I make an oyster dart I can get him to look forward. Ah well, some people can draw up a pattern right out of their heads, others have to work at it!
Yeah im just like you have to work at it until im completely satisfied it'll work, sometimes im lucky and a pattern will work right away no tweaks but others really not lol
